It’s an amazing feeling when you finally discover what you’re called to do in the artistic universe.

I still remember the first time I saw bonsai at a nursery as a child. The tiny trees looked like toys; I could hardly believe they were living trees! Years later, as I kindled my interest in gardening and began growing vegetables, I encountered something at a local nursery that reignited those old memories.

My very first penjing project was a fun and fulfilling experience, though the trees didn’t survive the heatwave of 2024. Despite this, I learned invaluable lessons from that first attempt, and I am excited to continue my education in this beautiful art form.
